brkfstblend’s 4th single “nyc” by Michael Kaneko, Keity, and Tetsuji Kasuya released today

brkfstblend released their new single “nyc” today, May 1st (Wednesday).

brkfstblend is a band started last year by Michael Kaneko, Keity (ex. LUCKY TAPES), and Tetsuji Kasuya (ex. Yogee New Waves). This is the band’s 4th single, and while it is reminiscent of American classic rock from the 70’s, it has a unique sound with a modern twist. The lyrics were written by Michael Kaneko, and the song expresses the struggles of a young man living in New York as a satire on modern society.

In addition, brkfstblend is planning to hold an event at Gakugei University C/NE in Tokyo next week on Monday, May 6th, and is planning to be very active this year. Let’s look forward to the next report.
