The “Good Korea Lounge” Lee Jin Ah & Yun Seok Cheol Trio Japan BLUE Tour, a Japan tour featuring Korean singer-songwriter Lee Jin Ah and the Yun Seok Cheol Trio, led by pianist Yun Seok Cheol, a leading figure in Korean-style jazz, has been announced.
Lee Jin Ah is gaining popularity in Korea as an “SSW who expands the scope of pop jazz,” and released her signature song “Rum Pum Pum (람팜팜)” in 2022, as well as the single “Goodbye Spring (필요 없는 봄날씨)” with Taiwanese artist Shi Shi (Sun Shengxi) in April of this year. Lee Jin Ah is gaining recognition not only in Korea but also overseas.
On the other hand, Yun Seok Cheol is a musician who represents Korean style jazz, building a solid musical world with an experimental sound fused with jazz. He released an album as the Yun Seok Cheol Trio, composed of bassist Jung Sange and drummer Kim Yeongjin, and made a name for himself by appearing at Tiny Desk Korea in 2023.
This time, we can expect a special stage where the individuality of both artists is fused, with Lee Jin Ah’s clear vocals and Yun Seok Cheol’s dynamic piano performance. The Tokyo performance will be held on October 20th (Sun) and 21st (Mon) at BLUE NOTE PLACE in Ebisu, Tokyo, and the Osaka performance will be held on October 23rd (Wed) at BLUE YARD.
