A community for R&B lovers, by music writer Maki Kawaguchi, Tsuya-chan, and R&B lovers.“R&B Lovers Club”held an R&B themed event, “It’s All About R&B!! Powered by R&B Lovers Club ~Alternative R&B Disc Guide Publication Commemorative Event~” in Meidaimae, Tokyo.Cafe Bar LIVREThe event will be held on Wednesday, September 25th.
This event was held to celebrate the release of the book “Alternative R&B Disc Guide,” which was published this spring and became a hot topic. At the event, Maki Kawaguchi and Tsuya-chan, who supervised the book, as well as singer aimi, who participated as an interviewee, and Yacheemi, who participated as a writer, will be talking and DJing.
On the day, all the speakers will talk about different themes. Maki Kawaguchi will talk about “The changing R&B – Classics that you should listen to again now, and the connection with current alternative R&B”, Tsuya will talk about “The influence of R&B on the entire pop scene – R&B even here!”, and aimi and Yacheem will talk about “A maniac’s talk! R&B from the perspective of singers, dancers, and DJs”. In addition, all the speakers are scheduled to “Predict the R&B scene in 2024-25”.
The final DJ & performance will be a session between R&B singer aimi and dancer/DJ Yacheemi. From the opening to the closing, it looks like it will be a rich time that R&B fans will love. In addition, new content following the podcast will be announced from “R&B Lovers Club” on the day.
