CHO CO PA CO CHO CO QUIN QUIN (hereinafter referred to as CHO CO PA) has announced that they will release the cassette tape of their first album “tradition” on Wednesday, October 16th.
The album, released in July last year, attracted attention for its musical style, which could be called “Yojohan Tropicalia,” a crossover of musical styles from various cultures around the world. Although they were only formed a short time ago, CHO CO PA performed at “Asagiri JAM” in October of the same year and “FESTIVAL de FRUE” in November, and received high praise for their live performances.
In January of this year, they released their first album “tradition” on CD and vinyl, which is their first packaged work for national distribution. In the same month, they were selected by Spotify as one of the next generation artists “RADAR: Early Noise 2024” who are expected to make great strides in 2024. In March, their song “Watatumi” was chosen as the commercial song for JR East’s “TOHOKU Relax”, and from spring to summer, they have performed at many large festivals such as “CIRCLE’24”, “Mori, Michi, Ichiba 2024”, and “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’24”.
The cassette tape of “tradition” contains a total of 12 songs, divided into SIDE A and SIDE B, each with 6 songs. Since it is a limited edition, it seems that those who are interested should check it out early. This is also the first cassette tape release for CHO CO PA.
