FUJI released his new single “- WASTED -” today, Wednesday, September 4th.
This is the lead single from the new EP “Yawning God” scheduled for release on Wednesday, September 18th, and is said to embody the goal of the FUJI project, which is to “update J-POP.” The song unfolds a unique sound world woven by tape-saturated piano sounds, dub beat rhythms, and digital choirs. The song progresses towards a spectacular climax. It is likely to be an important step in introducing a new sound that did not exist in the existing music scene.

This single, “WASTED”, was produced with the intention of reconstructing fragments of emotions that we all have, especially those that “don’t need to be said.”
“- WASTED -” was the first song I made after getting my hands on a DAW, and I kept changing the details big and small as I went along.
I hope it will reach places you never thought possible.
