MICHEL releases single “LOVE WALK” from Hype Sync Records

DJ/producer MICHEL has released his first single, “LOVE WALK.”

MICHEL is also known as one of the founding members of Hype Sync Records, an active label based in Tokyo that releases music, DJs, and organizes parties.

MICHEL started his career as a DJ in 2020, and in 2021 he launched Hype Sync Records with DJ/producer Takumi Maki, 6.do, and video director/photographer Kotaro Yamada, and soon began organizing the regular party “H5R2” at Shibuya WOMB.

After that, he became the youngest performer at WOMB’s 23rd anniversary, and will also perform at the UK’s Balter Festival in 2024, expanding the scale of his activities. He also began to stand out as a producer in 2024, releasing songs such as “RUN”, “Cold Beach”, and “Space” in collaboration with Takumi Maki. His sophisticated beats and sharp sound design are characteristic of his performances, and he has also gained support for his play that unites the floor.

This work is a fusion of his DJ style, which is based on techno and tech house and attracts listeners with a minimalist and edgy style, and his deep musical background that goes beyond four-on-the-floor beats, such as disco and breakbeats. The release of the EP including this work and the music video are scheduled for Friday, September 20th. Let’s look forward to further news.
