The cassette tape was released today, Friday, September 6th, as the complete version of BYORA’s mixtape series “The Screw Tapes” released last year.
BYORA is a hip-hop crew consisting of three MCs, ESG as Shogo Mochizuki, Urban, and MUKU, who are active mainly in the downtown area of Tokyo. The music video for “Bug”, directed by Giorgio Blaise Givvn, was recently released and has been a hot topic.
In addition, to celebrate the release of the cassette tape, they will be holding their first tour, “The Screw Tapes Tour,” which will visit three cities. The tour will begin at JUICE in Fukuoka on Friday, October 13th, continue at Common in Nagoya on Saturday, October 26th, and conclude on Saturday, November 2nd with a solo concert at their base, KATA in Ebisu, Tokyo.
In Nagoya, local acts such as NEI will perform. In Fukuoka, DJ Slowcurv, who is a friend of BYORA’s, and Fukuoka-based act REIDAM will perform. Advance tickets for the tour finale are on sale from today.
