The first lineup for the international showcase festival “Music Lane Festival Okinawa 2025 / Trans Asia Music Meeting 2025,” which will be held mainly at Music Town Otoichiba in Okinawa City, Okinawa Prefecture from Friday, January 17th to Sunday, January 19th, has been announced.
This festival will focus on showcase live performances, and will also match with music festival organizers, promoters, label representatives, booking agents, etc., called DELEGATES, who have been invited mainly from Asia. In addition, the festival will discover the future of new music through a wide range of activities, including conferences with diverse content for the overseas market and co-writing between overseas artists and Japanese writers.
The artists are selected from a public call for proposals from both within Japan and overseas (with some booked by the organizers). The selection is based on the quality of the music and performance, as well as an understanding of the meaning of a showcase festival. This time, TuneCore Japan cooperated with the selection, and about 400 artists from Japan and overseas applied.
The first lineup will feature the following 23 acts. The final lineup is expected to be around 50 acts.

The second wave of artists is scheduled to be announced on Friday, October 4th at 6:00 PM. In addition, this time they will collaborate with .mura (.mura Inc.) to release the works of the artists as NFT digital works, which will help secure new revenue sources for the artists and promote the event. The first wave of releases is scheduled for Saturday, October 5th.
