“APPLE VINEGAR” Award This year’s grand prize goes to Ozora Kimishima’s “no public sounds”

This year’s grand prize winner and two special prize winners for “APPLE VINEGAR -Music Award-”, founded by Masafumi Goto of ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, have been announced.

This award is given to an album released by an up-and-coming musician launched in 2018. Taking a cue from the Akutagawa Prize in the literary world, he hopes to support young musicians by creating a system to evaluate works released by musicians early in their careers, not just their debut albums, and by awarding prize money to support the production of future works. I started with an idea.

This year’s grand prize winner was “no public sounds” by Ozora Kimishima, which was released last September. Furthermore, Sasuke Haraguchi’s “Acetone” and Fumi Noguchi’s “botto” were selected for the special award. Sponsored funds raised from Masafumi Goto himself, individuals who support the purpose of the award, and nine companies will be used to award 610,000 yen to Ozora Kimijima, the grand prize winner, and 400,000 yen each to Sasuke Haraguchi and Fumi Noguchi, who will receive the special prize. A prize will be awarded.

The “APPLE VINEGAR -Music Award-” official website has 6 members of the selection committee: Masafumi Goto, accobin (event space OLUYO president/lyricist/composer/performer), Yuki Mihara (talent/radio DJ), Licaxxx, Tomoko Ariizumi.
