It has been announced that XG will release their new single “WOKE UP REMIXX (PROD BY JAKOPS)” on Friday, September 20th.
XG recently announced the title of their second mini album, scheduled for release on Friday, November 8th. The track list for the album was also released, and “WOKE UP REMIXX” is a remix of “WOKE UP” released in May this year. JAKOPS (SIMON JUNHO PARK), executive producer/CEO of XG’s label XGALX, played this song as a DJ during XG’s world tour, which was also a hot topic.
This remix was newly planned and produced by JAKOPS, a Japanese-Korean mix born in Seattle, USA, and while it retains the identity of the original song, it also incorporates an evolved charm. Eight rappers from Japan and Korea, including Jay Park, OZworld, AKLO, Paloalto, VERBAL (m-flo), Awich, Tak, and Dok2, participated as featured artists. The fusion of diverse cultures has created a synergy effect that is different from the original song.
