The artist key visuals for the hip-hop festival “THE HOPE 2024,” which will be held at the THE HOPE special venue in Odaiba, Tokyo on Saturday, September 21st and Sunday, September 22nd, have been released.
This festival brings together artists from across generations who are at the forefront of the hip-hop scene, from rising stars to legends who are driving the scene. This year marks the third year of the festival, and it will be held for the first time over two days in Odaiba, Tokyo, as it was last time. A total of 58 live acts and 29 DJs are on the lineup.
The key visual released this time was designed by Kei Usuba, the author of the popular manga “Singing Superstars,” currently being serialized in “Weekly Big Comic Spirits.” “Singing Superstars” is a human lyric of poverty and friendship, depicting the struggles of the protagonist, Oji Yukito, a former drug dealer, as he and his best friend try to get out of rock bottom through music. The gap between the characters and the reality they face, the lyrics that shake the soul, and the thunderous live performance scenes have created many devoted readers, and the work has also been recommended by SEEDA, Watanabe Shiho and other members of the hip-hop scene.
This time, Kei Usuba was approached by “THE HOPE” to create two types of visuals from the artists selected to perform in 2024. The key visuals will also be displayed at the venue on the day.
This year, tickets are available in two types, Platinum and Gold, and 2-day tickets are also on sale.

When I was approached about this job, I thought, “Maybe we still don’t have enough copies, name recognition, or props?”
That’s why I was grateful, and I was happy that HOPE, a festival I love, gave a chance to young people in a different genre.
I will continue to work hard so that I can be contacted as a matter of course again next year, as a way of giving back.
