Yo-Sea releases new song “Kakeashizoku” for the first time in about a year, with a music video shot in Vietnam

It has been announced that Yo-Sea will release their new single “Kakeashizoku” on Friday, September 20th.

Yo-Sea attracted a lot of attention with their first album “Sea Of Love” released last year and their participation in “tiny desk concerts JAPAN” featuring Fujii Kaze. This new song, their first in about a year, is said to be a sophisticated, urbane reinterpretation of the flavor of 2000s J-POP in 2024.

The fast-paced track, reminiscent of UK garage and 2-step, was co-written with GooDee, who worked on “Actor” on the album “Sea of Love.” GooDee is a producer with a jazz background who is currently active in the post-hardcore band FOAD. Like Yo-Sea, he is a member of AOTL and has worked on tracks for a variety of artists.

In addition, the music video directed by Nasty Men$ah will premiere at 9:00 p.m. on the release date. The video was shot in Vietnam, and shows a natural Yo-Sea running around with local kids, bringing out the speed and charm of the song while also creating a warm touch. Let’s look forward to the release.
