Korea-based pianist/producer CHANNY D releases first single

Korea-based pianist/producer CHANNY D released the single “Nice” today, Wednesday, September 25th.

CHANNY D, originally from Seattle, USA, was influenced by Japanese anime such as “Nodame Cantabile” and “Samurai Champloo” during his high school years, and decided to aspire to be a musician. After studying classical music at Western Washington University, he participated in works by Korean artists BewhY and Paloalto, and Japanese artists OZROSAURUS, and in 2021 released a collaborative album “Snacc” with producer OLIVE OIL. Last year, he also released his first solo album “Me Myself and I”. MODO, Youth Hostel, and CHOILB from Korea, and Tanaka Hikaru, OLIVE OIL, Tamaki ROY, and SNEEEZE from Japan participated, attracting attention.

This is his first solo single, and it combines hip-hop and neo-soul beats and synths with his own vocals and rap. He wrote the lyrics, produced, arranged, performed, mixed, and did the artwork himself. Mastering was done by Hiroshi Shiota (Salt Field Mastering).
