Jamie XX will hold his first solo performance in 8 years with his new album “In Waves”

It has been decided that Jamie XX’s performance in Japan will be held on November 27th (Wednesday) at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo.

Jamie XX has been attracting a lot of attention since releasing his second album “In Waves” in September, his first in nine years. The album features The xx bandmates Romy and Oliver Sim, as well as Robyn, The Avalanches, Kelsey Lu, and more. Four years in the making, starting with 2020’s critically acclaimed Essential Mix, this album was created during a period of self-reflection, a global pandemic, and the return of twinkling strobe lights. The album also incorporates his love of surfing as a means of escape, resulting in a work that surpasses his internationally acclaimed predecessor.

This performance in Japan with the same work will be the first solo performance in Japan in 8 years since 2016. Tickets will be available in advance for Live Nation Japan Premium Club members starting at noon on Thursday, October 3rd.
