Acidclank releases shoegaze single with re-recorded and rearranged songs from 1st album

Acidclank released their new single “Candy (Flashback)” today, May 8th (Wednesday).

Acidclank is an acid pop project by producer/SSW Yota Mori. At “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’21”, he appeared on the rookie stage “ROOKIE A ​​GO-GO”, and the following year at “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’22” he appeared on one of the main stages, “RED MARQUEE”. From 2023, they moved their base of activities from Osaka to Tokyo, and have been actively working with support members such as Kentaro Nakao, formerly of NUMBER GIRL.

This work is a re-recording and rearrangement of the song “Candy” from their first album “Inner”, which was self-released on Bandcamp in 2015. Developing a sound that returns to the shoegaze sound that can be said to be the origin of Acidclank. It’s a big change from the electro-pop sound they showed in their latest EP “TOXIC” released last month, and this work allows us to see a side of Acidclank as a band characterized by roaring guitars and dreamy sounds. .
