Toko Miura will release the music video for her new song “Suppin” on October 14th (Monday, holiday).
In addition to appearing in a number of popular works as an actor, Toko Miura is also active as a singer, including participating in vocals for RADWIMPS’ songs in Makoto Shinkai’s “Weathering With You”. He has released two original albums so far, including Naotaro Moriyama, TENDRE, Yonezaki Tsuno (Red Park), Kiichi Arimoto (ODD Foot Works), Tomomi Oda (CRCK/LCKS), and Moeka Shiozuka (Hitsuji Bungaku). Music has been provided by unique musicians such as
Kiichi Arimoto is in charge of sound production and song provision for this work. This will be Miura’s third collaboration with Miura since “Watashi wa Anatare” and “Did you hear me? feat. Toko Miura” (included in Arimoto Kiichi’s 1st solo single “0110”). Erika Uchida also participated on the saxophone, and the mix was by Shintaro Sato. The music video will be directed by Megumi Murotani, who will be working with the band for the first time since “Tokyo Point”.
This song, which Miura himself assembled the staff and was involved in from the planning stage, is a song that values the connections he has built through his past activities, and also serves as an expression of his intention to start a new musical career.
Furthermore, Miura will hold his first one-man live at Billboard Live TOKYO on November 29th (Friday). On the day of the event, a trio performance is scheduled to include Tomomi Oda (Pf.) and Kiichi Arimoto (Gt.).

I’ve been looking forward to this day ever since I received a no-makeup demo from Kiichi-san at the beginning of this year. I’m really happy to finally be able to share it with you all. This is a work that I feel a lot of love for, and was created by bringing together all the people I’ve met in my past activities, whose sensibilities and personalities I can trust. I approached the project with a sense of challenge as it was full of fresh ideas, but when I saw the finished product, I felt strangely that it was very much like me. There is no doubt that I was able to bring out the best in me, and I am filled with gratitude to all my friends who helped me. I want you to watch and listen to it over and over again.

When I was asked to provide a song, I wrote the song hoping to bring out a side of Mr. Miura’s work that had not been shown before.
I think she has the power to sing with this number of notes.
