Jiggy Beats Jazz Orchestra releases new song “Pedestrian Bridge” featuring rapper Kingo

Jiggy Beats Jazz Orchestra, a big band based in Tokyo, released their new single “Hibashi Bridge feat. Kingo” today, May 8th (Wednesday).

Jiggy Beats Jazz Orchestra is an orchestral band based in Tokyo, with the concept of “a big band that sings and dances.” This musical group consists of a horn section made up of unique members with deep knowledge of big band jazz, a rhythm section that is active individually in a variety of genres, and vocalist Ayami, who mesmerizes with her sad yet powerful singing voice.

Featuring rapper Kingo, with whom they have been active for a long time, this song is inspired by the view from the pedestrian bridge in Shibuya, where they are based, and is a song about “unfulfilled love in the city.” The song is composed of vocals that pay homage to the city pop of yesteryear, and careful rapping that alternates.

Furthermore, a live event will be held at Ekoda Buddy in Tokyo on June 15th (Saturday) to commemorate the release of this work. Guests include BLACK BERRY TIMES and Shinonomeno Sora.
