Miliyah Kato makes a surprise announcement that she will be collaborating with Ringo Shiina. It has been announced that the collaboration single “Airaku” (reading: Aigyo) will be released tomorrow, October 23rd (Wednesday).

For Miliyah Kato, Ringo Shiina is a special person that she admires both as a person and as an artist, and in the past she included one of her signature songs on her first cover album “COVERS -WOMAN & MAN-”. It covers “instinct”.

This project was made possible when Miliyah Kato offered Ringo Shiina to sing on the 20th anniversary of her debut this year. The title “Airaku” has the meaning of “I sincerely believe and love what I have learned and experienced from my life as an artist.” The music producer Chaki Zulu, T.Kura, and Miliyah Kato are credited with the composition. The overall creative work was done by Chaki Zulu, who created an edgy sound that incorporates elements of various music such as hip-hop and R&B into pop music. All lyrics are newly written by Miliyah Kato.
