RUNG HYANG’s new sound source “Trapped (Kan Sano Remix)” was released today, October 23rd (Wednesday).
He is a singer and “soul” writer who transcends the boundaries of various genres such as jazz, hip-hop, soul, and folk, and has developed a variety of collaborations including PARK, a joint project with Taichi Mukai and claquepot. Furthermore, RUNG HYANG has also produced Eito and Ms.OOJA.
This work is Kan Sano’s remix of the popular song “Trapped” from the EP “DOCUMENTARY” released in 2019. It was pre-released on 7-inch analog by Kissig Fish Records in June of this year.
Kan Sano has been releasing a cover video of “Trapped” on SNS, and has been featuring it in playlists he curates and performing it at his own live performances, declaring it to be his “favorite song.” . Looking back on this remix, he says that the hurdles for producing it were high because he had a strong attachment to the original song, but he has given his approval to the finished product, making it a beautiful remix that is perfect for the long autumn nights.

I made a remix of my favorite song. It’s a remix like a cover, with my voice layered on and various other things. It was a hurdle for me to choose Shinsaku Takasugi because I have a strong attachment to this song, but I’m satisfied with the final result. At least I tried my best. Tonight, I would like to stretch out and drink some red wine. But it’s a really good song.
