WONK will release their first collaboration song “Skyward” with Korean rapper BewhY

It has been announced that WONK will release their first collaborative song “Skyward” with Korean rapper BewhY on Wednesday, October 30th.

BewhY achieved a legendary victory on the Korean survival show “SHOW ME THE MONEY 5” in 2016, and is currently active at the forefront as a heavyweight in the Korean hip-hop world. He also writes, arranges, produces, mixes, and masters his own music, and also runs the independent label Dejavu Group, so he has a lot in common with WONK in terms of his activities. This time, WONK made an offer by giving them a demo sound source and provisional lyrics, and the collaboration was realized.

This song, which is the lead single from his new album “Shades of” scheduled to be released on November 13th (Wednesday), was inspired by Kento Nagatsuka’s view from the window of an airplane. Nagatsuka’s song that blocks out the noise in the sky and overlaps with the flow of clouds intersects with the lyrics of BewhY, who spend the same time on the ground but overlap with their lives with different touches. It is said that it has become a satisfying work that is indispensable for the “Chronicle of Beat Music Originating in Tokyo Edited by WONK.”
