Bilal, T3, K-Natural and others participate in WONK's new AL Preliminary SG distribution with Korean rapper BewhY

From WONK’s new album “Shades of”, which will be released on Wednesday, November 13th, “Skyward”, the first collaboration song with Korean rapper BewhY, was pre-released today, Wednesday, October 30th.

BewhY achieved a legendary victory on the Korean survival show “SHOW ME THE MONEY 5” in 2016, and is currently active at the forefront as a heavyweight in the Korean hip-hop world. He also writes, arranges, produces, mixes, and masters his own music, and also runs the independent label Dejavu Group, so he has a lot in common with WONK in terms of his activities.

This collaboration was made possible after WONK handed over the demo sound source and tentative lyrics to BewhY and made an offer. Kento Nagatsuka commented as follows. “The track for this song was created two years ago and I have been cherishing it.When I gave it to BewhY with a provisional song in it, I was thrilled to hear back his skillful rapping.It is unique to Korean. I felt the significance of this collaboration because of the sound of the words, BewhY’s unique lyrics, and the resonance with the world view, and they worked with me right through to the final process.I wish I could listen to it before I start work alone.”

In addition, guest artists for the album “Shades of” have also been announced. New York-based neo-soul/R&B singer Bilal, rapper T3 from Slum Village, the rap group to which J Dilla belonged, and Detroit rapper/producer K-Natural have announced their participation.

Starting in December, a nationwide tour is scheduled to begin with the Osaka performance, visiting Tokyo, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Kanazawa, and Sendai. We look forward to further growth not only in Japan but also in Asia and overseas.
