Knoctave is made up of experts in various fields, including Kou Ando, head of the creative group Sponge Bang Bang, fashion designer Sei Inji, and 3D fashion specialist Jae Lee. We will explore new forms of art that can be seen, felt, and worn, and will express the beauty and individuality of music from multiple angles through music visualization, interactive exhibits, fashion items, etc. About.
“knoctave exhibition vol.1 StripeTrack” focuses on new possibilities of striped patterns generated from musical scales. “StripeTrack,” as the title suggests, is a system that visualizes musical rhythms and scales and converts them into art and fashion items. By capturing specific patterns and sensory elements in music and designing them as stripes, music becomes a visual art experience. This system enables a new experience of not only listening to music but also seeing it, aiming to fuse music and vision.
This time’s subject is Beethoven, the master of classical music. Stripes generated from Beethoven’s masterpieces: “Ode to Joy”, “Piano Sonata No. 8 “Pathétique” 2nd movement”, “Symphony No. 5 “Fate” 1st movement”, and “Für Elise” Patterned fashion items and artwork will be on display, and visitors will be able to experience the moment when music and vision synchronize.
In addition, knit items with striped patterns and one-of-a-kind artworks created using StripeTrack will also be exhibited at the venue, as well as socks with similarly created striped patterns for sale.
