Autotune VTuber Onsen Mark released his new single “Nennen Kororiyo” today, November 11th (Monday).
Onsen Mark started his activities in 2021 as a “VTuber with auto-tune”. In the distribution activities, the bizarre game commentary in which the real voices of simple reactions were discretized based on chords became a hot topic. In addition, he engages in a variety of other activities, including writing, producing zines, reciting poetry, and advocating for the “3000 Yen Book-Off,” and in his music career, he has released a series of works that are heavily autotuned. In addition, in 2023, he served as the opening act at the event “crush” (Omotesando WALL & WALL) hosted by Momoka Koiro aka Momoka Kinoshita.
This work “Nennenkororiyo” is created by an up-and-coming producer.MON/KUCo-authored with. In a sound space that expands in a fantastical and glitchy manner, Onsen Mark’s story unfolds as he tries to deliver an auto-tuned lullaby to “that person” somewhere.
In addition, artists/art historians are involved in the production of artwork and music videos.kondo galaxyparticipated. The music video released on November 10th (Sunday) depicts a messenger landing on a trembling skyscraper.

I’ve been having trouble sleeping at night lately, so I decided to make a lullaby with MON/KU❣ What’s more, I asked Ginga Kondo to do the music video and artwork, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful piece❣ ❣❣
You can fall asleep while playing this, or if you can’t sleep, I’d be happy if it could be a little distraction.
PS I’m going to become an internet nerd. Autotune is my gong

When Atsuma-san gave me keywords like “lullaby” and “fantasy world,” the first thing that came to mind was “manga Japanese folk tales.” Then, there is a story that I like in “Manga Nihon Folktales” called “The Bell of the Ryugu.” A priest picked up a bell that had washed up on the beach and used it in his temple, and at some point the bell became a bell. It begins to make a sound on its own, and eventually it begins to move like a living thing and disappears into the sea. In fact, there is a story that the bell originally belonged to Ryugu, something like a bell returning home.
Based on this idea, let’s create a soundscape that resembles an imaginary world while featuring the sound of bells! (I tried various things, and the one I ended up using sounded like a Western church bell, haha.) That was the starting point for the production.
The drop-like part where the atmosphere changes completely was actually created with the image of diving into water where the sounds of the outside world are suddenly blocked out!
Also, thank you Atsuma-san for the great lyrics. That’s what it feels like.
[Comment from Ginga Kondo]
Those people who were connected only through SNS, but whose accounts have now disappeared. When I first heard “Nennen Kororiyo,” I was reminded of the existence of such people.
I combined the thoughts I felt in the song with Onsen Mark’s distribution activities and created a video of him visiting a virtual city.
The game production software Unreal Engine is used for CG production, and we are conscious of the connection to gaming culture, as seen in the lyrics. By using data from the Plateau project as the background city data and making it dance, I attempted to replace the value of the city with play and resistance.
