Aichi-born rapper hamma, currently based in Tokyo, released his new EP “HARDEST BEACH” on November 13th (Wednesday).
This work is a hard bass EP with all songs over 150 BPM. In addition to the two new songs “Darii” and “Dan”, a total of five songs are included: “BARRACUDA”, “SPINY KING CLUB”, and “SHRIMP DASH” which have already been released.
Produced with a strong awareness of rave culture, he raps with various approaches, sometimes aggressively, sometimes downer, to Russian hard bass, gabba, and hard techno beats. Hamma himself says, “I finally found a place where I can make the most of myself.” It’s a work of confidence. Among them, the new song “Darii” is said by Hamma himself, saying, “The sound of his voice when he has a cold fits perfectly,” and by purposely rapping in a downer style on a powerful track, he manages to express both fatigue and intense anger. . The music video for “Darii” is scheduled to be released in late November. A performance video for “Bullet” is also in the works.
Additionally, the EP’s title “HARDEST BEACH” was coined because three of the five songs are related to sea creatures, and the song sounds similar to nudist beach.
