Miso Extra will release their new single “Good Kisses (feat. Metronomy)” on Tuesday, November 12th. A music video was also released at the same time.
Miso Extra is based in London and has roots in England and Japan. This work, which will be the second single of 2024, is a collaboration work with British electronic band Metronomy. Produced by Metronomy frontman Joseph Mount. The song was written and recorded this summer at Damon Albarn’s Studio 13, and was engineered by Riccardo Damian, known for his work with Ezra Collective, Jorja Smith, Sampha, and more.
Written about romantic insecurities, the film is about, in Miso Extra’s words, “the overwhelming sense of insecurity you get when someone isn’t as into you as you are,” and it’s a sophisticated work of art. Her unique interpretation of pop music is well-balanced. With a drum machine and a bilingual chorus, he draws listeners into a fascinating world he calls the “Misoverse.”
Visually, like his previous album “Slow Down”, which was co-produced with DJ Boring, he collaborated with Claryn Chong, a film director/photographer with roots in China and Indonesia.
