aint lindy releases collaboration song “Genie” with Thai band quicksand bed

A collaborative single “Genie” by aint lindy and Thai band quicksand bed was released today, November 19th (Tuesday).

aint lindy is a solo project by Rin, who is also known as the guitarist of Billyrrom. Up until now, they have been active across borders, releasing collaborations/remixes with Taiwanese rapper/singer Momoko A1J and London-based edbl and Pastel.

Our collaborator this time is quicksand bed, a three-person band from Bangkok, Thailand. The release of their first album “OK, Vincent” (2022) attracted a lot of attention, but since then they have been on hiatus for about two years. As a recording artist and musician, he has experienced a wave of major changes and has started a new activity this year.

This collaboration song between the two combines a warm band sound, soulful vocals, and elegant rapping. As the title suggests, it is a heart-warming pop number with themes of loving someone deeply and unconditionally, being willing to give everything the other person wants, and a spirit that can grant any wish and make it a reality.

The album was mastered by Kelly Hibbert, who has also worked on works by Robert Glasper, Flying Lotus, Hiatus Kaiyote and Jordan Rakei.

Furthermore, it was announced that Shin Sakiura will appear at aint lindy’s first self-organized event “Coin Toss” to be held at Omotesando WALL&WALL in Tokyo on Sunday, January 12th. Special guests to be announced later will also appear on the day. Tickets are currently on sale.

I am very happy to be able to create this work with quicksand bed. I took on the challenge of singing a song with a very pure theme, and I made many new discoveries. I am grateful to quicksand bed for giving me this opportunity.
