London-based hip-hop collective NiNE8 released their new EP “Steal The Moon” today, Friday, May 10th.
NiNE8 is a DIY group that not only produces songs, but also creates music videos, merchandise, and visuals themselves. The members include Biig Piig, who is the opening act for Glass Animals and a favorite of Lil Nas Mac Wetha, who is famous for producing Aminé’s songs, Bone Slim, the group’s main songwriter who wears a domino mask, Lorenzo RSV, a rapper who is active as a solo artist, and the group’s They can truly be called the UK’s alternative hip-hop Avengers, consisting of the leader, producer/rapper Nige, and members who are both talented as solo artists as well as in reality.
The EP includes a total of 6 songs, including the lead singles “Escape Artist” and “Light”. We have also received comments from members who said they worked on it in a mountain hut.

This EP was created while living together in a cabin in the Welsh countryside, and it’s truly a record of friendship. “Escape Artist” is a song that I fell in love with right away. I’m happy to be able to play the bass line on this song.

It was a great experience to create it in a mountain hut in the forest.
It’s rare that we work together like this, and our music is filled with our experiences.

This EP was made at a training camp in Wales. Last summer was a busy one, and a perfect way to end this year. We’re so happy we all took the time to create this, and we’re excited to release this EP.

This EP was created during a busy time when we all had a lot on our plate, with little time available for everyone to write and record. I think it’s a great piece of music and I’m happy to release it and share it with everyone.

I produced my previous album in the countryside, but this time I produced it in a more rural area with no shops nearby, and since I couldn’t easily go anywhere, I had no choice but to focus on the music.
