Tokyo-based beatmaker soakubeats has announced that they will release their new album “Hitoribun no Chikara” on Wednesday, December 25th. In addition, the lead single “The Bridge feat. A-THUG” was distributed in advance today, December 2nd (Monday).
Soakubeats, who started making beats on a PC in 2012, has developed a style that is heavily influenced by street rap music such as trap and grime. So far, he has released two solo albums: 2012’s “Never Pay 4 Music” with ECD and OMSB, and 2018’s “Crude” produced with Yo Irie and Jin Dogg. In addition, he has released multiple collaboration works with rappers such as DEKISHI and Minchanbaby, who are known for their participation in DJ Q x tofubeats “Sirus”, and in recent years, he released the album “Eternity” in collaboration with OGGYWEST in 2021, which has attracted attention. is.
This is the band’s third album in total, and features beats that sublimate the subtleties of the emotions they feel on a daily basis, as well as guest performances from people who place an emphasis on “being a person with their feet on the ground.” In addition to onnen and OGGYWEST, who have collaborated with each other, PAZU, tofubeats, A-THUG, and Moment Joon are also participating. Also included are the previously released singles “[Reiwa Latest]” featuring valknee and TAMARIN, and “Ende Iitomo!” featuring Minchanbaby and Young Celeb Naruto.
Mixed and mastered by Illicit Tsuboi. The artwork is a new drawing by artist Masaru Sato. Art direction was handled by Kei Sakawaki.
The album title was taken from ECD’s tweet. It is said that soakubeats got the name because when they were having difficulties producing this album and were about to give up, they would look back at it and be inspired to “believe in themselves again.”
