Nenashi releases new song “LIME”, his first attempt at disco

Nenashi released her new single “LIME” today, December 4th (Wednesday).

Nenashi released her first album “Found in Tokyo” in April of this year and entered her second chapter. They announced the concept of “transcending space and time and traveling through time with sound” in their July release “STAY,” and the real time travel begins with this work.

This time, we spotlight the past from the late 1970s to the 1980s, and for the first time attempt a disco song that has not appeared in Nenashi’s previous works. Through various live performances in Japan and abroad, such as performances in Taiwan and “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’24”, where he performed for the first time, and through interacting with listeners in real life, the desire to “make more dance tunes that everyone can dance to” grew. It is said that the project has come to fruition.

The title “LIME” is a double meaning of the juicy fruit “lime” and the word “LIMELIGHT”, and the dazzling intro literally transcends time and space, making you feel like you have traveled back in time. I invite you. Pay attention to the “hybrid retro dance tune” sound, which is packed with Nenashi’s unique aesthetic while retaining the dance music etiquette of yesteryears such as Michael Jackson and Earth, Wind & Fire, as well as the rap part in the second half.
