Natsudaidai releases new single “Swimmer” today, December 11th (Wednesday). A music video was also released at the same time.
Natsudaidai is a duo consisting of singer Yo and track maker Nanae, who share the same birthday. In August of this year, they released their 1st EP “Seikaten,” which includes the title song arranged and mixed by Tomita Labo.
This song was written and composed by Nanae, and produced by Keiichi Tomita (Tomita Labo), who also co-wrote the song’s 1st EP “Seikaten.” With the theme of “swimming”, it is a pop tune with a unique world view, transposing the struggle in daily life to swimming in a 25m pool for the first time.
The artwork is by illustrator Takuya Ezaki. The music video was directed by video artist Shintaro Kunieda, and is based on the production scene of Natsudaidai. This song was also selected for J-WAVE’s “SONAR TRAX” in December.
Furthermore, a release live for this work will be held on April 19th (Saturday) at Shimokitazawa ADRIFT in Tokyo. Pre-sale of tickets starts today. You can experience Natsudaidai’s sound with a band.
