Up-and-coming Taiwanese singer Pei-Yu Hung’s first performance in Japan has been decided

Taiwanese singer Pei-Yu Hung’s first performance in Japan will be held on July 12th (Friday) at Kitazawa Town Hall in Tokyo.

In 2010, Hong Pei-yu appeared on Taiwan’s popular music program “Super Idol”, which produced many stars, and attracted attention. After a few years of hiatus, Hong Pei-yu resumed her singing career around 2017. In addition to releasing her first album “Silver Lining” in 2022, she won the Best New Artist Award at Taiwan’s biggest music award “Golden Melody Awards” in the same year. She made her talent known throughout Taiwan. Her flexible and delicate singing voice, developed through dance and musical performances, has captivated many Taiwanese listeners, and has been selected as the theme song for movies and dramas.

This performance is part of their Asia tour in support of the aforementioned album “Meisho/Silver Lining.” This will be her memorable first performance in Japan, as she has deep ties to Japan, having collaborated with Japanese musicians and creators such as Michael Kaneko and Moto Kawabe (Mitsume). Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, May 14th (Tuesday) at 20:00.
