Kohei Shimizu releases 3rd Vocaloid song “Archangel.*” & releases lyric video

Kohei Shimizu releases new single “Archangel.*” today, December 25th (Wednesday). A lyric video was also released.

Last year, SSW/producer/guitarist Kohei Shimizu announced his name change from sooogood!. In June of this year, they released their first album under their current name, “Hypervoid,” and in September, they released their first instrumental album, “Saint of Losers,” which attracted a lot of attention.

This work, which concludes 2024, is the third Vocaloid song following the single “Ruina” released in August. It has an impressive sound that combines the drive of J-pop-like guitar rock with the destructive and captivating beat of hyper-pop, making it a love song filled with a sense of speed and scale.

The artwork is by illustrator Shigematsu/NANTOKA, following on from “Ruina” and “I’m glad I lost everything.” Illustrations from the artwork are also used in the lyric video.
