Akko Gorilla will release their new single “Ato no Matsuri” today, December 25th (Wednesday). A music video was also released at the same time.
This work is the fourth advance single from “Chimera”, the first full-length album in about six years, scheduled to be released on Wednesday, January 8th. His ally Ryo Konishi (Zouminsha, CRCK/LCKS) participates in this song, which is impressive with its fantastic sound usage and sound production. The music video was directed by Ao Inoue, and has an impressive composition of rich nature and Akko Gorilla’s vivid costume.
As the title suggests, the album “Chimera” is a concept album with the theme of “Chimera/Festival,” and it is said to be packed with a variety of themes and sounds. Participating artists include Zhuangziit (Dos Monos), Food Festival akafoodman, BSC (ex. KANDY TOWN), and Roska from the UK.
Furthermore, a release party will be held at two venues in Shimokitazawa, THREE & BASEMENT BAR, in Tokyo on January 17th (Friday) after the album’s release. The lineup is full of festival vibes, including folk song units Koderanni~ and AJATE, so be sure to check them out as well. In addition, a CD of the album “Chimera” has been released exclusively at live venues.
