Awich’s new song “Frontiers” has been selected as the opening theme for the second season of the TV anime “Shangri-La Frontier”.
Last year, he had a sold-out one-man show at K Arena Yokohama, and this year he has appeared at major overseas festivals such as “Coachella” held in LA and “Head In The Clouds Festival” hosted by <88rising> held in New York. Awich has made remarkable progress, including being selected as the GREEN STAGE sub-headliner at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’24. “Frontiers” was the first song she performed as a “new song” on stage at her last live performance of the year, “COUNTDOWN JAPAN 24/25.”
The TV anime “Shangri-La Frontier” is a TV anime that is a hot topic not only in Japan but also around the world, using powerful animation to tell an adventure story set in the world of a full-dive VR game. “Frontiers”, which was written specifically for this work, is scheduled to be released on January 5th (Sunday). The work is said to be a link between Awich’s own character, who continues to overcome various difficulties to earn the title of “Queen,” and the main character, who goes on an adventure in a game that no one has ever completed. This is the first time that Awich has written an opening theme for an anime.

“Frontiers” was created by deeply empathizing with Shanfro’s worldview of challenging unknown territory and evolving by overcoming difficulties, and was inspired by the story.
Sanrak’s attitude of pushing forward without fear of challenges also overlaps with my own way of life as an artist.
During the song, there is a question, “What you wanna be?” This is a message that asks, “How do I carve out my own future?”
Shanfro’s journey and growth trajectory, as well as the real challenges faced by each listener. I hope that all of them will be connected to a new dimension through this song.
