The music video for “Fragments” from WONK’s latest album “Shades of” released on November 13th (Wednesday) will be premiered today at 21:00.
“Shades of,” his first full-length album in about four years, is a “chronicle of beat music originating in Tokyo compiled by WONK,” featuring artists such as Bilal, Slum Village’s T3, K-Natural, and Toshinobu Kubota. Also includes collaborations with 7 guest artists. The album’s first song, “Fragments,” is a complex song that begins with an introspective question and ends with a bright outlook.
The music video is a collaboration with Takamitsu Miyagawa, director of the documentary film “Documentary of artless” (2022), which followed WONK, and is said to be a life-sized version of Kento Nagatsuka.
In addition, WONK is currently conducting a tour called “’Shades of’ Tour” in conjunction with this work. This year, the performance will begin in Tokyo, and then tour around the country including Sapporo, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Kanazawa, and Sendai. In addition, even though the tour has just started, the Spotify O-EAST performance in Shibuya, Tokyo will be streamed on Sunday, January 12th. Distribution tickets will be on sale at ZAIKO from 18:00 today.
