Michaela releases 1st single “ex” & MV released

Michaela will release her first single “ex” today, January 10th (Friday). A music video was also released at the same time.

Michaela is also known as the vocalist of TOGITO, an art collective that went on hiatus in April 2023. This work, which is his first release under his solo name, has roots in R&B, neo-soul, and alternative pop, and also incorporates elements of Afrobeats, creating a simple yet deep groove and worldview. The melody combines a bittersweet taste with a clear-cut pop hook, and the cool husky singing voice creates a song that conveys a fleeting and delicate beauty as well as the strength of the singer as an artist. .

Kotaro Yamada (Hype Sync Records) was appointed as the MV director. Based on shadows, the focus is on sunlight and Michaela’s movements, expressing her mysterious charm and internal burning energy.

I like fewer notes, so I rarely add more, instead focusing on the flavor that can be felt from each tone, the spaces between notes, and the blank spaces.
