Collaborative work “Sin Jyuk Guen EP” by Oyubi and NY-based Kush Jones is now available

“Sin Jyuk Guen EP,” a collaboration between Oyubi and Bronx, NY-based DJ/producer Kush Jones, was released today, January 17th (Friday) on .

Oyubi’s first mini album “Earnin It” released in 2022 received support from famous DJs such as Ben UFO and Objekt, and is attracting attention both domestically and internationally. Kush Jones, on the other hand, has been highly acclaimed for his songs that mix Chicago house, juke/footwork, Jersey club, etc., and is currently a resident DJ at “Rinse FM” and “The Lot Radio”, as well as at London, where he has appeared. His appearance at the underground party “Keep Hush” also attracted attention.

Oyubi and Kush Jones collaborated at the up-and-coming venue Final in Taiwan at the end of 2023 and hit it off, and the session that became the basis for this work was held at a studio in Taiwan at that time. This work was completed after about a year of brushing up online.

The two songs are “Beef Noodle”, which is based on the juke/footwork that both artists are good at, and “Sin Jyuk Guen”, which is based on Chicago house at 150 BPM but has an impressive undulating bass line and ominous melody line. It is recorded.

To commemorate the release of this work, Kush Jones will be performing in Japan on January 25th (Saturday) at Shibuya R-Lounge in Tokyo. In addition to Oyubi, the lineup includes TREKKIE TRAX founder andrew, Carpainter, Seimei, and neneeedy, a new era talent who specializes in Baltimore clubs and ghetto house, making his first appearance at a TREKKIE TRAX party.
