imai will release their new single “Wakamusha” on Friday, May 17th.
imai, who is also known as the producer of group_inou, suddenly released a new song “HAPPENING” at the end of last year and resumed his activities.This work will be available from Saturday, May 25th at Shibuya Eurospace in Tokyo.
This song is from director Ryutaro Ninomiya’s latest movie “Wakamusha,” which will be released around the same time worldwide. The full-length sound source and music video will be unveiled for the first time at the world premiere screening and mini-live held today, May 16th (Thursday) ahead of the theatrical release.
The music video was directed by Bialystocks’ vocalist and film director Motosora Hoki, and will be released on YouTube at the same time as the audio distribution. The film is said to be a cut-up of footage from the main movie, allowing people to get a glimpse of the disturbing and tense atmosphere of the story.
The artwork features an impressive visual of the movie’s three stars, Ryuta Bando, Rion Takahashi, and Naoya Shimizu, standing in front of a giant Jizo statue.
