goethe releases new EP “Inner Planet” today released new song music video produced by knoak

Sapporo-based four-member band goethe has released their new EP, “The Inner Planet,” today, Friday, February 7th.

This is the first EP in about a year, and is known for its first episode in the film, including “Sick!!!” produced by Shin Sakiura, “Make a Move” produced by Shingo Suzuki (Ovall), and “Ghost” ballad number with the theme of “Death and Charity.” In addition to previously released singles such as “, it also includes six songs including new songs “Warumono”, “Hallo”, and “Female”. This is a work that symbolizes goethe’s past activities, and is an EP that will raise expectations for the band’s sense of scale and outlook.

In addition, the music video for the lead song, “Warumono” was also released.

“Warumono” is a song that features knoak as an arrangement and sound production. Higuchi (Vo./Gt.)’s relaxed, gentle voice and warm sound make it a high-quality pop song that gives the impression of the arrival of spring.

The director is Kitagawa Seito, who has worked on many goethe music videos up until now. The video further expands the world of the song.

[Comment by Higuchi Taichi (goethe)]

This work is more introspective, with a certain sense being the theme of the EP.
The title “The Planet” is a part of the music production period in which the emotions and worries that are inside humans are actually visible (feels) like the light of the stars floating in the sky, but cannot be touched. I named it because of the feeling I had.
Also, regarding the word planet, planets cannot shine on their own, and the parts that reflect light and illuminate are also influenced by the duality and something: the parts that are exposed to light and the parts that are shadowed. I thought it was wonderful to understand what I wanted to express in lyrics, and to the extent that it was expressed and existed.

The six songs included in this work have different temperature and atmosphere, but at the very bottom, the feeling of “inner planet” is inherent in each song.
In terms of sound, I think we were able to express the new goethe sound as we participated in the production of Ovall’s Shingo Suzuki, Shin Sakiura, and knoak.
I would be happy if you could listen to this as well as pay attention to these points.
The lead song, “Warumono,” is not particularly positive or backward, but is a universal and loveable song that will make you love everyday life.
I would be happy if our music could become a supportive tool for someone else.
