“A Tale” music video released from mozu’s first EP released by Niwa. Directed by Gen Miyakawa

The music video for “A Tale” has been released from its first EP, “Tales of Faults,” released by Tokyo-based post-rock band mozu on Tuesday, February 4th.

This work was released by Niwa, the label headed by SSW’s safmusic, which advocates “suburban alternatives.” The film expresses the worldview of “A Tale”, which gives the feeling that the stubborn worldview that mozu expressed in his first EP “Ophelia” is being expanded as its video: suL “shoegaze” and oversleeping “isaribi” Gen Miyakawa is a filmmaker who also directed music videos such as “The Movie”. This work is also a graduation project from Musashino Art University by Gen Miyakawa.

The lyrical and beautiful guitar phrases and the talkative fretless bass give off a sense of floating, while the drums are the only substance that you can feel, and the vocals that speak on top of them. The worldview expressed by mozu has been added with a new, surreal and bold interpretation by Gen Miyakawa, creating images that will color casual times, scenery and emotions.
