Shigge releases "Caged" collaboration with London-based Merry Lamb Lamb

Shigge released their new single, “Caged feat. Merry Lamb Lamb” today, Friday, February 21st.

Based in Fukuoka, he heads the internet label “YestetdayOnceMore” and engages in a variety of activities. Shigge is currently a Tokyo-based producer/DJ, and in October last year he released his latest album, Unpack, featuring eight vocalists from Japan and abroad.

This is the first release in 2025, and is a London-based electronic musician from Hong Kong.Merry Lamb LambA song featuring. The collaboration between the two began when Shigge came across an original Merry work online in the cold winter of 2024. This song depicts the conflict for freedom and change, while still resting on the current situation, and the complicated emotions that do not have the courage to pursue them. The melancholic piano at the beginning symbolizes internal conflict, and the second half expresses self-doubt.

When I heard Merry Lamb Lamb’s voice, I thought it would be great if I could incorporate her vocals into the gloomy atmosphere of dubstep and Future garage. However, I didn’t want to make the tracks themselves or the songs themselves negative, so I gradually got excited towards the second half, and I tried to include key sound images at key points.
