Gliiico released his new album, The Oath (Deluxe) today, Friday, February 28th.
Gliiico is a three-sibling band based in Tokyo, from Vancouver, Canada. This work was released by Cantora Records, an indie label based in Brooklyn, USA, where MGMT, Bear Hands and others belong to, and is a deluxe edition that adds two new songs, “Bullet” and “Boyfriend” to its latest EP “The Oath,” released last October.
After spending three years of experience in creating rock-out sessions at members’ homes, bedrooms, hotels in various countries, writing camps, and studios, this work involves trial and error in a variety of environments, combining sounds from the past, present and future, and fully enjoys Gliiico’s unique style, combining nostalgia, freshness and familiarity. In addition, the music videos for “Tragedy”, “Amiri Jeans”, and “Mutron” featuring Chara are attended by domestic and international creators, including Pascal Teixeira, the art director of Phoenix and Justice, and Luke Casey, who works with Beabadoobee and Slowthai, all of which embody the world of Gliiico.
Furthermore, Gliiico’s first Korean performance, which was recently announced, was sold out on the same day for both days. The support act will feature WACK, who combines a variety of musical styles and engages in literal alternative music activities, and Kim Seungjoo, SSW, whose roots are in J-ROCK and emo, who are attracting attention from the young Korean people and the music industry.

The two songs added in The Oath (Deluxe) are a deluxe version that adds songs that would have never been released in the world, written purely without worrying about the world at all. It expresses a completely new side of Gliiico and a new worldview that will be created in the future.
