Hoshino Gen will release his first new album, "Gen" in May

It has been announced that Hoshino Gen will release his new album, “Gen” on Wednesday, May 14th.

This work, which was previously announced to be released this spring, will be its sixth original album in about six and a half years since “POP VIRUS” released in December 2018. The full picture of the album, including album artwork and songs included, will gradually be revealed.

The title of this work is, of course, linked to Hoshino’s name, but the word “Gen” contains a variety of meanings, such as “Generation” and “General”, so it can be interpreted in a variety of ways. At the time of this announcement, a video was uploaded on Hoshino’s social media asking, “Please tell me about “Gen”,” but at this time Hoshino has not yet made any official comments about the title.

Reservations begin today, Monday, March 3rd at various stores and online shops. The album will be available in four formats: the first limited edition, “Box Set “Poetry””, “Box Set “Visual”” (two formats: Blu-ray and DVD formats), and the regular format. “Box Set “Poetry” comes with a binding, while “Box Set “Visual” comes with a video disc. Details of the contents will be announced at a later date.

It has also been decided that advance tickets will be accepted for the additional performance of the nationwide arena tour “Gen Hoshino presents MAD HOPE” (Kyocera Dome, Osaka, K Arena Yokohama, Kanagawa), for early pre-order purchasers. Early pre-orders and purchases from the eligible online store or store will be issued a serial number for advance application for live tickets.
