Wez Atlas’ new song “HOOMAN” has been decided to be the ending theme for the latest season of the popular drama “Recommendations for Solo Activity Girls 5,” starring Eguchi Noriko.
Last year, Wez Atlas released their EP “ABOUT TIME” and in January this year, “My Village (feat. Skaai)” to make their first solo concert successful. This is the first time I’ve been in charge of the ending theme for a drama.
“Recommended for Solo Activities” is a drama adaptation based on the popular essay book of the same name by freelance writer Asai Mayumi. Since season 1 began in April 2021, it has been a series of dramas every year, and has been well received on various video streaming platforms and overseas.
In Season 3, he collaborated with regional cities such as Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture and Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki Prefecture, and in Season 4, which aired in April last year, he produced the Taiwanese edition as his first solo overseas experience. He won the most impressive spot on Taiwan’s domestic distribution platform Chuka Telegraph, and the protagonist, Mayuke Megumi’s solo career is not limited to Japan, but has been powered up beyond the sea. Season 5, which will begin airing on Wednesday, April 2nd, has been decided to have a solo career in Melbourne, Australia as the second overseas edition, with the special cooperation of the Australian Tourism Bureau and the Victoria Tourism Bureau.

The song “HOOMAN” was performed for the first time on air. The release will be announced later.
