Charity song distribution featuring 10 people including NAGAN SERVER, KIKUMARU, Kethug, and bill marcos

The charity single “Tou feat. ZIW, KIKUMARU, Calli Stephus, K’z Tyler, 11, bill marcos, NAGAN SERVER, Vue du monde, DAI, Kethug” led by alternative hip hop crew 9tree was released on Wednesday, May 22nd.

9tree has been gaining attention for performing at the Ringo Music Festival in their first year of activity. This work is a microphone relay song that features 10 artists who K’z Tyler, the leader of 9tree, met in Okinawa and Fukuoka, where he has his roots, and in Tokyo, where he is based. From Tokyo, NAGAN SERVER, a musician with roots in hip-hop and jazz and the unique title of rapper/wood bassist, KIKUMARU, a talented rapper who is also known in the MC battle scene, and Vue du monde, who has a unique worldview, participated.

Participating from Fukuoka will be bill marcos and Calli Stephus, members of CCS records., a comprehensive collective that promotes unique cultures including music, fashion and art, as well as singer 11, whose talent has been recognized by rapper MIYACHI and who is gradually gaining attention.

Participants from Okinawa include R&B singer Kethug, who has appeared in commercials for the popular local select shop Chocolate Jesus and made a guest appearance on Yo-Sea’s first album, Sea of Love, and ZIW, who is renowned for his solid rap skills.

The beat was handled by Dakoh. The title “Tou” (Light) means “to illuminate the world with music,” and all profits from this song will be donated to Ishikawa Prefecture for the reconstruction of the Noto Peninsula earthquake disaster.

On January 1, 2024, while I was looking out at the Shonan sea, I heard the news of the earthquake.
I still vividly remember the sense of fear I had almost forgotten, the conflict of being unable to do anything, and the various emotions that ran throughout my body.

In a world where there are so many songs out there and they are quickly consumed, I started this project with the hope of delivering music that will remain deep and long in people’s hearts and memories. It’s been about five months since we started, and without the support of everyone who has been involved, this song would not have been completed. This song, “Tomo”, is a song that feels like it’s wrapped in light.
