The Iwakabe Music Festival THE FINAL will be held for two days at Uwariishiniwa Park in Yamagata Prefecture, Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, September 21st.
The Iwakabe Music Festival, which started in 2019, is an outdoor festival that combines rock walls that have been erected for life since ancient times with artists who have continued to pioneer the leading edge of the scene, offering even more possibilities for music. The venue is a quarry called the “Stone Crimson.” The stage is surrounded by cliffs over 50 meters high that overwhelm the sights of visitors.
In normal years, the event was held only on one day, but this time it was held for the first time on two days. Furthermore, as previously announced, this will be the last event.
Tickets can be purchased from today, Friday, March 21st at the following stores and at the event “PIXEL”, hosted by the Iwakabe Music Festival. “PIXEL” is being held at Shibuya KOARA in Tokyo on the fourth Sunday of even-numbered months. The number of admissions is limited more than usual, so tickets are expected to be difficult to obtain. It is said that there is no plans to sell online.

The Iwakabe Music Festival will be the final episode when it will be held in September 2025. This festival was started with the aim of “open sourceizing the way festivals are created.”
In 2019, the first event was held, the details of everything from the holding method to the specific income and expenditures will be published in note. We will also be postponing and canceling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and will also be sending out the process of making decisions. In 2022, the second event was held, and all visitors were given an operating manual instead of a pamphlet.
We have been committed to independent management in order to gather reproducible know-how without relying on large sponsorships or public subsidies.
In 2025, the 2-Days, which have not yet been implemented, will be held, and by gathering the final insights, the HowTo manual will be completed and disbanded as a project.
All tickets this year were sold in stores and in hand. There is no online sale.
Rather than being influenced by the lineup, algorithms, and opinions of others that appear on social media, I would rather focus on the experience of going to a festival, which is the final episode. Tickets can be purchased at record shops, pizza shops, coffee stands, and more. It is a place where each shop and the people there has a culture.
The festival begins with getting tickets. I believe that in this era the enthusiasm of the festival floors, which everyone has gathered together by hand, is necessary.
