aespa released their first full album “Armageddon” today, Monday, May 27th. The music video for the lead song “Armageddon” was also released.
The album “Armageddon”, which is said to contain aespa’s worldview Season 2 and the largest-scale music and visuals in aespa’s history, begins with the pre-release single “Supernova”, which is impressive for its minimalist sound and catchy topline, and consists of 10 songs in a variety of genres, from energetic hip-hop to light dance numbers, rhythmic modern pop, and ballads. It is a work that allows you to enjoy the unique sound that is unique to aespa.
The album’s lead track, “Armageddon,” is a hip-hop dance number with a strong synth bass sound and an old-school yet cutting-edge track. It incorporates the story of Season 2, aespa’s worldview that spreads beyond the real world and the digital world into the multiverse. It also contains the message that aespa meets their “selves” that exist in parallel worlds, faces infinite possibilities, and is reborn as a complete “me,” and that “I can only be defined by myself.”
This time, a special Japan-only packaged product called “Armageddon (Japan Exclusive ver.)” has also been released. All six types of physical packaged products will come with Warner Music Store and Tower Records exclusive trading cards, and Warner Music Store will have the chance to win a special prize by drawing lots to meet the band members. Be sure to check it out.
