It has been announced that Furui Riho will be in charge of the opening theme song for Kyoto Animation’s new TV anime, “CITY THE ANIMATION,” which will be aired from Sunday, July 6th.
“CITY THE ANIMATION” is a girl’s ranking comedy that depicts the lives of the kind of fun people who live in the ordinary “CITY” based on the original work by Arawi Keiichi through a variety of characters, including Nagumo Mitori, a penniless university student, Nikura, Nagumo’s junior who admires photographers, and Izumi Wako, a slightly mysterious girl.
Furui Riho wrote “Hello” as the opening theme song. He also commented: “CITY THE ANIMATION is a work that many people have been hoping for and looking forward to. We also created the theme song “Hello” with a desire to be reunion. We hold hands with everyone, bringing joy and smiles, and are looking forward to the wonderful work “CITY THE ANIMATION” to spread our wings into the world.”
This will be the first time Furui Riho has been in charge of the theme song for a TV anime. Details such as the release date of the new song “Hello” will be announced at a later date. I look forward to more news.
Furui Riho will mark the tour final of the “Furui Riho Zepp Tour 2025 “Vloooooom”” at Zepp Sapporo in Hokkaido on Saturday, March 29th, and will also be releasing their new song “MONSTER” on Wednesday, April 2nd.
