The lead track “Donkey Song” will be streamed in advance today, Friday, April 4th, from Chameleon Lime Whoop It Up’s second album “Whoop It Up” released on Friday, April 25th. The MV was also released.
This is a lively and exhilarating song that makes a gorilla run wild in her mind and destroy everything. The song contains the feeling that “When you listen to this song, your mind will be clear and you should dance without thinking about what you need to do!”, and the psychedelic British rock reminiscent of the 90s gives off a danceable groove.
The MV features Sasaki Shosuke as director, his first collaboration. The story is based on Chi-inventing the story, “Chi- and the gorilla set out on a journey to find “treasure bananas.” Searching for various places, a banana appears, which looks like it… What is the true identity of the “treasure banana”? Can the two be found?!”
The artwork is a collaboration featuring up-and-coming painter HATO, who also worked on the single “REACH feat. PES” released last year. This song has been decided to be “April Power Play” by FM NACK5, who is in charge of regular programs, and the music video for MTV “Early April BUZZ CLIP”.
In June, the solo live show “ONE-MAN LIVE 2025 “WHOOPIE in the JUNGLE”” featuring their second album will be held in Tokyo and Osaka. Tickets are currently being accepted for advance orders.
