A music-loving community called “FLIP SIDE PLANET” will be featured in a public recording and a live event will be held at Shin-Yoda FEVER in Tokyo on Tuesday, April 22nd.
At this event, members and guests of “FLIP SIDE PLANET” will have a talk with the theme of “Artists who want to watch live shows right now,” and a live show will be performed by the artists introduced on the spot. This is a special project typical of “FLIP SIDE PLANET,” which combines radio and live performances.
The curator for the first time was artist and poet Shibata Satoko. Shibata, who is surrounded by sounds, curates Le Makeup, an artist based in Osaka as the artist who wants to watch live shows right now. This live performance will be captivated by its natural gaze, expressing sounds and words from various genres in music, still life-size.
FLIP SIDE PLANET also curates the five-member band Khaki, based in Tokyo. The live arrangements are like sculptures, and you will be able to experience the vibrancy of the sound, which is delicate, rough, and sometimes boldly changing shapes.
The moderator will also be Okutomi Naoto, owner of Shibuya’s select shop “BOY.” From a wide range of activities, including shop owners, DJs and commentators, the venue is said to liven up the venue, filled with the power of music from its own unique perspective.
The flyer design was created by designer Seyan with the concept of “creatures that live on the musical planet FLIP SIDE PLAET.” Additionally, original T-shirts are scheduled to be sold at the venue.
